ROUTE COMPUTING SERVER, ROUTE COMPUTING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for setting a path between domains by using an inter-domain path setting method corresponding to the situation of the traffic load of each domain.

SOLUTION: This route computing server is installed correspondingly to each domain in a network system in which domains are connected one another by a boundary node to compute a route from a departure node till an arrival node. It is equipped with a determining means to determine the size of the traffic load in the domain, a route computing means to compute the route, and a notification means to notify the result of routed computation computed by the route computing means. The route computing means computes a route by an end to end route computing method when the traffic load of the domain is large, and computes the route by a domain by domain computing method when the traffic load of the domain is small.
