<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device with a can sealing structure capable of being narrowly framed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The organic EL device 100 having a display zone A comprises a substrate 110, a plurality of organic EL elements 50 arranged at a first surface 10a side of the substrate 110 at the display zone A and having an organic light-emitting layer between a first electrode 53 and a second electrode 51, a conductive section 140 arranged at the first surface 110a side of the substrate 110 in the vicinity of the display zone A and electrically connected with respective first electrodes 53 of the plurality of organic EL elements 50 in common, a first sealing member 150 for forming a first chamber 150A which is arranged at the first surface 110a side and airtightly houses the plurality of organic EL elements 50 and the conductive section 140, a second sealing member 160 for forming a second chamber 160A which is arranged at a second surface 110b side and airtightly houses an adsorbent 170, and a through-hole 140A for interconnecting the first chamber 150A and the second chamber 160A by penetrating the conductive section 140.
