<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improving apparatus allowing a worker to cut a pile to have an optional cross sectional shape such as circular or rectangular shape or the like and stir the soil and capable of preventing it from falling down to achieve excellent stability and construction for even a low and narrow restricted space. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This soil improving apparatus is constituted by connecting a plurality of short rods 11 mutually, arranging three stirring rods 10 provided with a stirring blade 12 each at an eccentric position at an equal interval therebetween, and installing a driving device 20 for rotating and revolving each of the stirring rods 10 to prevent the stirring blades 12 from interfering with each other on the ground surface. Consequently, the improved pile having the optional cross sectional shape such as circular or rectangular shape or the like can be constructed, the continuous improved piles can be easily constructed by merely overlapping them slightly when constructing the improved piles being long in the horizontal direction, and outbreak to large extent is unnecessary. Since the driving device 20 is installed on the ground surface, this apparatus has its center of gravity at a low level, does not fall down simply, and has excellent stability to decide a stirring position with high precision. Furthermore, since the short rods 11 are mutually joined one after another by adding them for stirring, it is possible to dispense with a construction machine having considerable height and construct in even a place having a height limit.
