BLACK POLY(ARYLENE ETHER)/POLYSTYRENE COMPOSITION, ARTICLE, AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black poly(arylene ether)/polystyrene composition, an article, and a method. SOLUTION: The black plastic composition includes a poly(arylene ether), a polystyrene, and at least two organic dyes. The composition exhibits a high gloss and deep black that is unexpectedly much more light-stable than a comparable black plastic using a carbon black pigment. The composition is useful in the manufacture of automotive interiors, and electronic equipment such as consumer electronic equipment and particularly television bezels. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
