<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor emitting warning announce while suppressing noise relative to leaning action of a body of a user to an outer side of a movement handrail. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor 1 is provided with a sound source 32 for producing an announce signal; an acoustic radiation control unit 34 for controlling acoustic radiation characteristic of the announce signal produced by the sound source 32 utilizing a conveying wave belonging to a supersonic wave band area having a frequency of 20 kHz or higher which cannot be heard by a person; an amplifier 36 for amplifying the announce signal controlled with the acoustic radiation characteristic (directivity); and a speaker 38 for radiating the warning announce having the directivity by inputting the amplified audible sound signal by controlling the acoustic radiation characteristic.
