The present invention concerns a method for providing traffic conditions data using a wireless communications device, and a navigation device in which this method is employed. A navigation device comprises: a route-display unit which finds a route to a destination set by the user, and displays the route on top of map data; a traffic conditions data receiving unit which responds to requests to provide data about traffic conditions on the route, and receives traffic conditions data from a contents management server via a wireless communications device; and a traffic conditions data providing unit which provides the user with the traffic conditions data received in this way. |
