<p>The invention relates to a linear device for braking and/or mechanical locking (10) comprising a housing (11) wherein a cylindrical cavity (12) is provided containing a central core (13; 53) arranged so as to axially slide into the cavity (12). A movable longitudinal element (15), fitted into a space (14) extending across the housing (14), also extends axially across the housing (14). The central core (13) comprises at least one bore (16) arranged so as to receive, respectively, at least one pin (17) biased by at least one thrust spring (18), and the longitudinal element (15) comprises at least one series of notches (40) placed along a straight line (41) parallel to the longitudinal axis of movement of the movable element (15), facing the pin (17). The notches (40) are arranged so as to engage with the pin (17) to ensure a braking and/or locking function for the device, the central core (13) being combined with a means for actuating the axial movement thereof based on the desired braking and/or mechanical locking.</p> |
