METHOD FOR THE DECISION OF REPORTING FREQUENCY BASED ON AVAILABLE BANDWIDTH IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK

PURPOSE: A report period decision method based on the available bandwidth of a wireless sensor network is provided to decide the report period of a sensor node by estimating the available bandwidth on the wireless sensor network, thereby managing efficiently the wireless sensor network. CONSTITUTION: A gateway transmits a single probe packet recording a transmission time to a sensor node(S402). The sensor node confirms the arrival time of the single probe packet(S403). The sensor node calculates a time difference between the arrival time and a transfer time(S404). The sensor node estimates an available bandwidth on a wireless sensor network(S405). The gateway decides the report period of the sensor node through the available bandwidth information from the sensor node(S407).
