摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce energy cost in a hybrid vehicle for charging an on-vehicle battery from a power supply source outside the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A control device for the hybrid vehicle calculates estimated necessary energy necessary when the vehicle travels a scheduled route in an EV priority mode for preferentially generating driving power of the vehicle with an MG102 by supplying electric power from a battery 107 to the MG102 (S206), and calculates electric power (externally charged energy) supplied from the power supply source (S207). Then, the control device determines whether the estimated necessary energy can be satisfied by the externally charged energy before starting traveling (S208). When determining that the estimated necessary energy cannot be satisfied by the externally charged energy, the control device performs an EV/power generation mode in which engine power generation is performed at a point where a power generation efficiency is high as much as possible among the whole scheduled routes by inputting drive power of an engine 101 to the MG102 to compensate for energy shortage, while the EV priority mode is set at the other points (S211). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
