<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a gap between a housing for storing a developer and the cylindrical part of a conveying member from being clogged with the developer. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a first conveying member 40 which conveys the developer in a horizontal or nearly horizontal first conveying direction in the housing 32; and a second conveying member 42 which is arranged to be adjacent to the first conveying member in the housing 32 and conveys the developer in the housing 32 in a second conveying direction opposite to the first conveying direction. In the developing device 30, the housing 32 includes a wall surface having such a shape that a first conveying chamber 62 storing the first conveying member 40 and a second conveying chamber 64 storing the second conveying member 42 are formed in space in the housing 32. The first conveying member 40 is arranged in a position higher than the second conveying member 42, so that the developer entering the gap between the cylindrical part 44 of the first conveying member 40 extending in the first conveying direction and the housing 32 can drop toward the second conveying chamber 64. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
