<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an apparatus for musical performance practice by which even an etude including repeats is practiced evenly over the whole piece. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 1 performs a setting process wherein a practice setting process is included, and a practice process. First, in the setting process, the frequency of practice for each measure constituting a musical piece is counted in accordance with the repeats contained in music data. Then, in the practice setting process, the maximum frequency of practice is detected from the frequency counted in the setting process for each measure, and the measures having lower frequency of practice are extracted on the basis of the difference between the detected maximum frequency of practice and the frequency of practice for each measure. After the practice process is performed, practice of the measures extracted in the practice setting process is directed in the frequency corresponding to the difference between the maximum practice frequency.
