<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new titanium oxide particle excellent in the light-scattering ability of visible to near-infrared light. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrolysis product of a titanium alkoxide or a hydrolysis product of a titanium metal salt and an organic alkali are mixed in a predetermined solvent to prepare a reaction solution. Subsequently, the reaction solution is heated in an airtight container to prepare the titanium oxide particle which has a plurality of extension parts which radially extend; the extension part has a ridge almost in the center in the longitudinal direction; and the particle has a star shape as a whole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
