PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting having reduced cable contacting resistance and reduced die manufacturing cost, and to provide a cable with a terminal. SOLUTION: The hole edges of recessed porions 18 parallelogram-shaped include a pair of first hole edges 19, 19 parallel to a first direction and a pair of second hole edges 20, 20 parallel to a second direction. The first hole edges 19 of the recessed portions 18 arrayed in the first direction are arranged side by side on a straight line along the first direction, and the second hole edges 20 of the recessed portions 18 arrayed in the second direction are arranged side by side on a straight line along the second direction. The recessed portions 18 are formed by pressing work of a wire barrel 16 using a die 24 which has a plurality of protruded portions 25 formed at positions corresponding to the recessed portions 18.
