PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition that maintains adhesive force, particularly has excellent holding power and exhibits excellent melt viscosity stability under heating at high temperature. SOLUTION: The adhesive composition comprises a hydrogenated block copolymer and a tackifier, where the hydrogenated block copolymer comprises a hydrogenated block copolymer (A) having a polymer block composed mainly of one vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon and a polymer block composed mainly of one conjugated diene compound and a hydrogenated block copolymer (B) having a polymer block composed mainly of at least two vinyl aromatic hydrocarbons and a polymer block composed mainly of at least one conjugated diene compound; the hydrogenated block copolymer has a hydrogenation ratio of the vinyl bonds thereof of at least 82% and a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon content (TS) of 37.5-47.5 mass%; a peak molecular weight (Mp<SB>A</SB>) of the hydrogenated block copolymer (A) and the TS satisfy the following relationship: 77.5≤10 Mp<SB>A</SB>+TS≤97.5; and the adhesive composition comprises 100 pts.mass of the hydrogenated block copolymer and 20-400 pts.mass of the tackifier.
