摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of optimally controlling a combustion state during a start, in the control device for the internal combustion engine controlling an electronic throttle valve during the start of the internal combustion engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an operation cycle set means setting operation cycle of the throttle control based on the combustion state of the internal combustion engine 10 in throttle control for starting the internal combustion engine 10 under a condition where opening of the electronic throttle valve 22 is reduced and increasing the opening after start. The operation cycle set means changes over operation cycle of the throttle control between setting as crank angle synchronization and setting as time synchronization based the combustion state. Preferably, engine speed NE is used as a correlation value of the combustion state, and operation cycle of the throttle control is set to time synchronization if the engine speed is lower than a prescribed lower limit value.
