PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deposit removing device capable of automatically removing deposits in a furnace or a container, and moreover removing the deposits surely and uniformly. SOLUTION: The deposit removing device includes: an arm 4 mounted with a rotor 8 for chipping the deposit sticking to the bottom face of the furnace 1 of a bottomed cylinder shape, and a rake 9 for scraping the deposit sticking to the sidewall of the furnace 1; an axial moving mechanism 5 moving the arm 4 in the axial direction of the furnace 1; a radial moving mechanism 6 moving the arm 4 in the radial direction of the furnace 1; and a turning mechanism 7 turning the arm 4 in the circumferential direction of the furnace 1. The rotor 8 and the rake 9 are mounted to the arm 4. The deposit on the bottom face of the furnace 1 is chipped by the rotor 8, and the deposit on the sidewall of the furnace 1 is scraped by the rake 9 to uniformly and surely remove the deposits in the furnace 1.
