<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily predict the direction of a document to be indicated in a document image subjected to rotation processing, before an execution instruction of rotation processing is input. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 10 includes a document correction part 23 and a display control part 22. The document correction part 23 is a processing part that performs rotation processing upon a document image, and performs the rotation processing such that a first reference direction from a reference side of a document to a counter side of the reference side is matched with a vertical direction of the document image subjected to the rotation processing. Furthermore, the display control part 22 is configured to display on a display device 11 a display image indicating the document and an instruction mark instructing the reference side of the document to a user on the basis of the document image before executing the rotation processing.
