<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a community of high utility value through telephone directory data of a mobile telephone and the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A telephone directory management system includes: a telephone directory management server 20 for receiving user data and telephone directory data 131 from a mobile phone device 10 and recording them to a database; a means for searching for a telephone number recorded to the telephone directory data related to a first user in telephone numbers recorded to the user data of the database; and a means for examining whether the first user's telephone number is recorded to the telephone directory data of a detected user (a second user) when detected, recording that the number is interactively registered to both the telephone directory data of the first user and the telephone directory data of the second data when recorded, and recording that the telephone number is unidirectionally recorded to the telephone directory data related to the first user when not recorded.
