<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduction in the initial yield prior to repairing while taking a countermeasure against a brightness defect caused by intrusion of foreign matter. <P>SOLUTION: When three organic electroluminescence (EL) elements 21-1, 21-2, 21-3 and three driver circuits 25-1, 25-2, 25-3 are placed within the pixel area of a single sub-pixel, the size L1 of the center driver circuit 25-2 is set to be smaller than a size L0 when sizes of the three driver circuits 25-1, 25-2, 25-3 are set equal. An EL aperture 21a-2 of the center organic EL element 21-2 is set to be smaller than the apertures 21a-1 and 21a-3 of the organic EL elements 21-1 and 21-3, respectively, in both sides of the center element in accordance with the size relation of the driver circuits 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
