TONER FOR ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE DEVELOPER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external additive for toner for an electrostatic charge image which can stably control/maintain the amount of the triboelectrostatic charge of the toner and also can maintain a stable triboelectrostatice charge property with less environmental variations while preventing an abnormal image caused by attachment of the toner on a photoreceptor when developing the toner image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The external additive for a toner has a silane condensate silixane-bonded on the surface of a titanium oxide treated by zinc ion. The contained amount of the zinc ion per 1 g of the titanium oxide is 50-100 μg. The silane condensate can be present on the surface of the titanium oxide by a silane-coupling treatment while it is desirable to use a silane compound having a fluoroalkyl group as the silane-coupling agent.
