PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus or image forming system working on a pay-as-you-go basis, which can form an image again with user-friendliness even in the case of failure of image forming. SOLUTION: A user puts a sheet of paper including a formed image into a shredder (S31). When the sheet of paper is put in, print information printed on the sheet is read by a reader of the shredder and cut (S32-S33), and the read print information is transmitted to a digital composite machine (S34). Upon receiving the signal, the digital composite machine reads image data corresponding to the print information stored in a hard disk and forms the same image again and outputs the formed image.
