PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain image data obtained by an image sensor and image data obtained by performing conversion processing to the image data without causing degradation of image quality or increase of photography processing time. SOLUTION: When setting for recording both of a RAW data file and a DCF data file in a recording medium is performed, whether an attribute of the RAW data file or a recording state of the recording medium corresponds to a predetermined condition is determined, when it is determined that the attribute of the RAW data file or the recording state of the recording medium corresponds to the condition, the DCF data file is not recorded in the recording medium though the RAW data file is recorded in the recording medium.
