PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for recovering a forest function, intended for solving such problems that conventionally lower layer vegetation is recovered by securing an illumination in forest by lowering a stand density through forest maintenance, in an artificial forest of Japanese cedar, white cedar or the like, but since an overcrowdedly planted artificial forest is kept for a long period with a low illumination, there are problems that a large amount of seeds are not contained in soil, and a content of organic matter decreases to make soil single-grained, and as a corrective method for the problems, a method of collecting earth on a forest outer layer, a method of filling collected soil or underground stems in a bag so as to green, and a construction method of cutting above-ground parts of nursery stocks which are raised from seed and grow naturally in a mountainous area, and giving back to a forest are each designed, but the methods which aim mainly greening do not become methods for recovering a forest function. SOLUTION: This construction method for recovering a forest function comprises forming a forest recovering base layer (A) by spraying as a vegetation base material (1), fertile soil (2) which is obtained by mixing and stirring seeds (3) collected from woody plants and herbs in a forest, outer layer soil (3') around a forest, mixed with seeds, bark compost (4), and corrosion promoting earth (5), to a soil surface (G) of an objective forest with a spray machine (12).
