<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely eliminate air bubbles stuck inside a blood circuit and a dialyzer by a simple method, and to efficiently adjust the height of the fluid surface of priming fluid inside an air trap. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An artery side blood circuit tube and a vein side blood circuit tube are connected to the dialyzer, a fluid replacement circuit is provided in the state of being communicated with the artery side blood circuit tube, a blood pump is driven, and the blood circuit and the dialyzer are washed and primed with the priming fluid inside a fluid replacement storage body at a flow rate of at least 250 ml per minute in the order from the fluid replacement storage body at the distal end of the fluid replacement circuit to a fluid replacement circuit tube, the artery side blood circuit tube, the dialyzer and the vein side blood circuit tube when using a wet type dialyzer and at a flow rate of 151-250 ml per minute when using a dry type dialyzer.
