The device has a locking unit i.e. spiral spring, transferred from one position into another position in case of fire, where a wall- or cover opening (2) is open and partially closed in the respective positions. A thin tubular part (14) extends through the opening in the former position. A fire protection element (10) is arranged between layers of a flexible, temperature withstanding material e.g. silicate fabric or glass flies or glass fiber, of the locking unit and enlarges its volume in case of fire. The unit has an actuating unit made of bimetal, memory alloy and soldered strut. An independent claim is also included for a pipe connection comprising a set of pipes.
