SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING HOME NETWORK

PURPOSE: A home network control system and method are provided to offer a management method according to a detected error to a user, thereby removing the inconvenience of the user according to the failure of a home electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A home network(100) connects home electronic devices(130) to a network by wire or wireless communications technology. A home gateway(110) communicates with each of the home electronic devices. The home gateway receives a control command from a portable terminal(20) through a subscriber network(10). According to the control command, the home gateway controls a plurality of home electronic devices. A control server(200) communicates with the home network and the portable terminal through the subscriber network. The control server transmits a monitoring result to the portable terminal by the monitoring of the home network.
