PURPOSE: A composition containing complex medicinal herb extract for preventing and treating vascular diseases is provided to reduce cell adhesion and reduce adhesion rate of blood cancer with blood vessel endothelial cell. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating vascular disease contains complex medicinal herb extract of Rheum palmatum, Magnolia officinalis, Paeonia suffruticosa, and Radix glycyrrhizae as an active ingredient. The weight ratio(w/w) of Rheum palmatum, Magnolia officinalis, Paeonia suffruticosa, and Radix glycyrrhizae is contained in 0.1-10: 0.1-10: 0.1-10: 0.1-10. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, or their mixture solvent. A pharmaceutical composition contains 0.1-50 weight% of the complex medicinal herb extract A health functional food for preventing and relieving vascular disease contains the extract as an active ingredient. The food is used in the form of tablet, capsule, pill or liquid.
