<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display video signals having different scanning frequencies, in a split manner from one another within a single display. <P>SOLUTION: A timing controller 22 after conducting conversion corresponding to an arbitray scanning frequency and a panel input interface, with respect to scanning frequency of f1 Hz to fn Hz, then supplies the respective video signals after conversion, to a source driver 23 and a gate driver 24. A TFT liquid crystal display panel 25 can simultaneously display, based on the control that is performed by the source driver 23 and the gate driver 24, the video signals by different scanning-frequency conversion techniques in the respective regions which are obtained by splitting a single display screen.
