PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin hopper which prevents two coins from being dispensed at the same time. SOLUTION: The coin hopper is provided with: a rotary disk which is inclined upward at a prescribed angle; a holding bowl for holding the coins in bulk; and coin stoppers which serve as top surfaces of a circular support shelf and the rotary disk which are positioned in the center of the top surface of the rotary disk and projected by a thickness of one coin and extending radially from the supporting shelf side toward the periphery direction at equal intervals toward the periphery edge of the rotary disk so that the height is lower than the thickness of the thinnest coin. In this case, the coins are: received one by one in surface contact with the retaining surface between the coin stoppers; moved in one direction at the supporting shelf; and received by a coin receiving means from the coin stoppers. At the same time, the coins are popped out by a popping means which is energized toward the coin receiving means. The coin hopper is provided with a support plate 284 which is located slightly upstream of the coin receiving means and arranged elastically in a normal line direction at a distance of less than the thickness of the coins from a top section of the coin stopper facing the periphery edge of the disk.
