PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control device which enables the drive of an actuator of construction machinery to be controlled depending on operating characteristics selected by an operator. SOLUTION: This drive control device, which controls the output of the actuator for driving a mechanism of the construction machinery, includes a characteristic selecting means for selecting specific operating characteristics from among a plurality of predetermined operating characteristics. The drive control device determines a target value of the output of the actuator depending on a manipulated variable input into the operation means of the construction machinery, so as to realize the operating characteristics selected by the characteristic selecting means.
