<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide austenitic stainless steel used for a fuel cell separator which is excellent in corrosion-resistant characteristics and conductivity at low cost and has excellent processability. <P>SOLUTION: The austenitic stainless steel used for a fuel cell separator includes C≤0.080 mass%, 0.01-3.00 mass% Si, 0.01-10.00 mass% Mn, 0.01-3.00 mass% Cu, 15.0-40.0 mass% Ni, 20.0-35.0 mass% Cr, 0.01-4.00 mass% Mo, 0.005-0.300 mass% N, and one kind or more of 0.1-1.20 mass% Nb, 0.1-1.20 mass% Ti, and 0.1-1.20 mass% V, and the remainder is made of Fe and unavoidable impurities. A nitride layer formed of a first layer and a second layer is formed on the surface of the austenitic stainless steel used for the fuel cell separator, and a protuberant extract is provided on the surface of the second layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
