<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inventory management system which conducts inventory management, in matching with not only to a situation on a purchaser side but also to a situation on a seller side. <P>SOLUTION: The inventory management system is provided with; client terminals 1 which carries out request for advance order request for articles; a management server 3 which is connected to the client terminals 1 via a network 2 and conducts inventory management for the articles; a database 4, which stores management information regarding the articles connected to the management server 3; store terminals 6 connected to the network 2; and store-clerk terminals 5 connected to the network.
