<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional system that the control becomes complicated and the cost increases since in a semiconductor device applied to an inverter, etc. there is a risk that the loss by the forward voltage of a diode might become larger in the case of circulating a reflux current from an inductive load by a parasitic diode and there is necessity to drive two gate terminals in the case of having applied a bidirectional device. <P>SOLUTION: This is a driving method to be applied to a bidirectional switch 1 which is equipped with the first gate terminal 2, the second gate terminal 3, a drain terminal 4, and a source terminal 5 and has four operation modes by switching on or switching off the first gate terminal 2 and the second gate terminal 3 severally. It materializes simple circuit constitution and that at low cost, by reducing diode loss and decreasing two gate signals, while securing a path for letting a reflux current flow, by controlling either the first gate terminal 2 or the second gate terminal 3 to be ON at all times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
