<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing-fixing method which enables more sure fixing of an outer ring by a caulking process and a rotary-linear motion converting mechanism equipped with a bearing by the fixing method. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary-linear motion converting mechanism, which converts rotary motion into linear motion, includes a bearing which receives a load in the axial direction. The caulking process is carried out to form a caulking part 93 by bending the tip end of a holder 90 in the direction of the central axis of the outer ring 81 after inserting the outer ring 81 of the bearing into the holder 90. A groove 81A is formed on the outside circumferential surface of the outer ring 81.
