<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency for intake air, in an intake manifold housing a cooler. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The intake manifold 10 includes a surge tank 11 holding the cooler 20 for cooling the intake air, a plurality of branch pipes 12 which distribute from the surge tank 11 the intake air having passed through the cooler 20 respectively to a plurality of cylinders 4 of an internal combustion engine 1. The surge tank 11 includes a counter wall 14 facing the stream of the intake air in the downstream of the cooler 20, and a plurality of communicating holes 16 which penetrate the counter wall 14 to communicate with corresponding branch pipes 12. Of the plurality of communicating holes 16 arranged in the longitudinal direction L of the counter wall 14, adjoining communicating holes 16 are arranged slantingly in the orthogonal direction O orthogonally intersecting the longitudinal direction L.
