<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring fracture strength which enables the accurate grasp of the position of the weakest boundary part of a laminated structure without being affected by the material of the laminated structure and the direct measurement of the fracture strength of the weakest boundary part by moving a cutting blade along the weakest boundary part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cutting blade 1 is moved forward at a predetermined horizontal speed with respect to the laminated structure 10 and pressed downward by predetermined pressing force to cut in from its upper layer 11. After the edge 2 of the cutting blade 1 is allowed to arrive at the lower layer 12, the pressing force is reduced to be held to the pressing force starting the rise of the cutting blade 1. The cutting blade 1 is moved until the rise of the cutting blade 1 is stopped and the force in the layer surface direction acting on the cutting blade 1 is measured by the movement of the cutting blade 1 in the state that the rise of the cutting blade 1 is stopped.
