<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight thermoacoustic device using carbon nanotubes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The thermoacoustic device includes a signal device, a sound wave generator including a carbon nanotube structure, and a support. At least part of the sound wave generator is supported by the support. The carbon nanotube structure is connected to the signal device. The carbon nanotube structure includes at least one carbon nanotube film. Respective carbon nanotube films include a plurality of carbon nanotubes arrayed in parallel with each other.
