<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device capable of detecting abnormality by small current, capable of preventing damage of a head or a circuit, and capable of securing printing quality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device using an electric-heat exchanging system includes a current path (1) for feeding electric current for driving an ink head for recording from a power source, a current path (2) feeding current for driving the ink head via an abnormal current detecting circuit 152 for detecting current from the power source, a power source switching circuit 151 for switching to either one of the current path (1) and the current path (2), and a head abnormality determining device for determining the presence or absence of the abnormality of the ink head by comparing the current value detected by the abnormal current detecting circuit 152 and the abnormality detecting current value set in advance.
