PURPOSE: An ice making device selectively manufacturing normal ice and crystal ice and an ice making method using the same are provided to reduce noise generated when the ice is being separated and falling down from a receiving unit. CONSTITUTION: An ice making device comprises a water storage unit(100), a plurality of receiving units(200), a water supply unit(300), a cooling unit(400), an ice separating unit(500), and an ice storage(600). The water storage unit has an open top and stores the water. The receiving unit is located on top of the water storage unit. The water supply unit supplies the water from the water storage unit to a plurality of receiving units. The cooling unit is nearly located in the lower part of a plurality of receiving units. The cooling unit surrounds and cools a plurality of receiving units. The ice separating unit separates the ice from a plurality of receiving units. The water supplied by the water supply unit to the receiving unit overflows in the receiving unit and is saved in the water storage unit again.
