<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell retaining improved pressure resistance wherein destruction of fuel cell components such as a pump caused from pressure mainly generated at fuel supply part and leakage of fuel from the fuel cell is avoided. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell is equipped with a membrane electrode assembly composed of a fuel electrode 113, an air electrode 116 and an electrolyte membrane 117 held between the fuel electrode 113 and the air electrode 116, a fuel supplying part 2 connected with the fuel electrode 113 through a flow path 13, a pump 3 located in the flow path sending liquid from the fuel supplying part 2 to the fuel electrode 113, a fuel shutoff part 4 located in the flow path between the fuel supplying part 2 and the pump 3, and a porous body 5 filled up in the flow path between the pump 3 and the fuel shutoff part 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
