<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal flaw detector for detecting the internal flaw of a platelike measuring target. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The internal flaw detector 10 can detect the internal flaw 40 of the plate-like measuring target 28 and is equipped with a measuring means for measuring the temperature distribution of the upper surface 28a of the measuring target 28, a moving means for successively moving a measuring range 14b by the measuring means by relatively moving the measuring means and the measuring target 28, a heating means for heating the actual measuring range actually positioned within the measuring range 14b by the measuring means in the measuring target 28 from the back surface 28b of the measuring target 28, and a cooling means for cooling the next measuring range succeedingly positioned within the measuring range 14b by the measuring means in the measuring target 28 from the upper surface 28a of the measuring target 28.
