<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft for a constant velocity universal joint, and an axle module, capable of preventing a boot from being permanently twisted beyond elastic deformation when such twisting torque as to cause plastic deformation is loaded. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the shaft for a constant velocity universal joint, twisting torque in a plasticizing range is loaded to cause plastic distortion, and then it is unloaded. In the axle module, provided with an outboard side constant velocity universal joint T1, an inboard side constant velocity universal joint T2, and a drive shaft 65 that is connected to the outboard side constant velocity universal joint T1 on one end, and connected to the inboard side constant speed universal joint T1 on the other end, the shaft for a constant velocity universal joint is used.
