Ž<P>SOLUTION: The refrigerant passage area Aout of the outlet of a suction passage 16i leading a suction refrigerant drawn from a refrigerant suction port 16d to a mixing and pressurizing portion 16e is smaller than a refrigerant passage area Ain of an inlet, and furthermore, the reduce degree of the refrigerant passage area on the inlet side of the suction passage 16i is larger than the reduce degree of the refrigerant passage area on an outlet side. The suction refrigerant drawn from the refrigerant suction port 16d is pressurized in iso-entropy and the energy loss of the suction refrigerant is reduced, thereby suppressing decrease in the flow velocity of the suction refrigerant. Accordingly, it is possible to increase the terminal velocity of grains of the liquid refrigerant flowing into the mixing and pressurizing portion 16e of the ejector 16 and also it is possible to sufficiently improve the ejector efficiency ηe.
