<p>Cut-out edge fraying is prevented by reinforcing the edges in the region of the cut with a thermoplastics strip which can be applied to a carrier or sprayed directly onto the non-heat-sealable material. The elastic strip incorporates rubber threads and is applied at points along the whole length of the textile material, which consists of one or several cut-outs, as in the mfre. of trousers, aprons, etc., and is secured in place by the action of heat and pressure.</p> |
