<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide whether an air cleaning catalyst device mounted on a vehicle normally functions or whether a radiator provided with a radiator temperature detection means is mounted on the vehicle in a normal state by a simple method, regarding an abnormality detection device of the air cleaning catalyst device. <P>SOLUTION: A water temperature sensor 20 is provided to detect a cooling water temperature Ta at an inlet of the radiator 18. A core temperature sensor 22 is provided to detect a surface temperature Tb of a heat exchange core part 16 of the radiator 18. By discriminating whether a temperature difference (Ta-Tb) between the cooling water temperature Ta at the inlet of the radiator 18 detected by the water temperature sensor 20 and the surface temperature Tb of the heat exchange core part 16 detected by the core temperature sensor 22 is in a prescribed range (A<(Ta-Tb)<B) based on determination thresholds A and B set in advance, whether the air cleaning catalyst device normally functions is decided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
