CATALYST FOR PURIFYING LEAN BURN AUTOMOBILE EXHAUST GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst effective for purifying a diesel automobile exhaust gas which performs the purification treatment of the diesel automobile exhaust gas efficiently by overcoming the conventional difficulties in the purification.

SOLUTION: The catalyst for purifying the lean burn automobile exhaust gas purifies the lean burn exhaust gas using the composite catalyst comprised of a catalyst keeping a platinum group element carried by a mesoporous material and a cation exchange clinoptilolite and/or a cation exchange erionite.
