<p>Brazing of an ultra-thin insulated metal wire to an electrically conducting support is effected by pressing the wire against a layer of the brazing material on the surface of the component, to which it is to be brazed by means of an electrode, the workpiece acting as second electrode. Heating takes place until the insulation evaporates, following which the brazing material melts and the wire sinks into it. Pref. the wire consists of Cu and is coated with an insulating material evaporating at =370 degrees C and the component is a Ag eutectic alloy of m.pt. 600 degrees C.</p> |
