Forming, filling and closing a bag is effected with the aid of shaping elements consisting of a shoulder part and a cover by means of which a tube is formed, after which a bottom seam is formed by welding, filling is effected, and the bag is closed. The shaping elements move downwards over the bag length, the bag is grasped in their lowest position, and the shaping elements return upwards. Used for forming, filling and closing bags of material such as polyethylene film.
