<p>Laminate consists of layers of material bonded with a thermosetting synthetic resin, the core zone consisting of alternating layers of wood and layers of impregnated paper, the thickness being small relative to the total thickness of the laminate, and the outer zones consisting of layers of material with a higher strength. Used as constructional material for prodn. of containers, vehicles refrigerator wagons etc. The laminate has a high strength and stiffness, a low wt. and a low cost.</p> |
