PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mandrel line for manufacturing a hose capable of efficiently extracting the mandrel line from a hose body particularly after manufacturing the hose, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The mandrel line 1 for manufacturing the hose includes the core wire 2 and a resin coating 3 coating the outer periphery of the core wire 2, and has a discontinuous recessed part formed at the surface of the resin coating 3. In the mandrel line 1 for manufacturing the hose, the depth of the recessed part of the resin coating 3 is 60-150μm, the resin coating 3 is fluorine resin, and the core wire 2 is a twisted wire formed of hard stainless steel. In the method for manufacturing the mandrel line for the hose, the mandrel line 1 is formed by coating the outer periphery of the core wire 2 with the resin coating 3, and continuously, the mandrel 1 is made to pass through at least a pair of rolls 14 having an abrading agent of #240-#600 specified in JIS R6001 on the surface after holding the mandrel line 1 in the vicinity of the melting temperature of the resin coating 3.
